Ana de Armas was a knockout at the 95th Annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 12th, as we would expect of someone nominated in the ‘Best Actress in a Leading Role’ category. Although the 34-year-old actress – who was nominated for her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in the Andrew-Dominik-directed-movie, Blonde – didn’t walk away with the gong, as it went to Michelle Yeoh for Everything Everywhere All At Once (as we and the rest of the world expected!) Ana was a red carpet winner nonetheless!

Ana De Armas Pays Tribute To Marilyn Monroe On Oscars Red Carpet
Ana lovingly paid tribute to the late Marilyn Monroe – the icon responsible for her first ‘Best Actress’ Oscar nomination – on the red carpet, as her custom Louis Vuitton figure-hugging mermaid dress was an homage to the Gentlemen Prefer Blondes star’s Jean Louis dress she wore when singing “Happy Birthday, Mr President” to President John F. Kennedy back in 1962. Yes, the one Kim Kardashian wore to the Met Gala back in May 2022.

The Deep Water star’s custom Louis Vuitton silver silk organza gown designed by creative director Nicolas Ghesquière featured straps and a plunging scoop neck, and was reportedly embroidered with lurex and glass rhinestones that extended into a scalloped train. It was quite spectacular, and with the perfect amount of detail to show just who or what was behind the design inspiration.

Interestingly, unlike Kim who dyed her hair platinum blonde when channeling Marilyn, the Knives Out actress kept her hair in its new dark brunette shade, which we think really modernized the look. It also looked a little more youthful and effortless, which is something we love about the styling! Snaps to Samantha McMillen!
Ana accessorized with Louis Vuitton heels and High Jewelry, the latter of which was on the subtle side and included dazzling hoop earrings and two stacked bracelets, as she chose to let the blinding sparkles on the dress command most of the attention. Ana’s makeup was also on the soft and natural side, again, we expect for the same reason, although her shimmery pink eyeshadow couldn’t be ignored! We think she killed it on the red carpet!

Ana De Armas Wears Louis Vuitton To ‘Vanity Fair’ Oscars After-Party
Speaking of killing it on the red carpet, the No Time to Die actress did just that when she attended the Vanity Fair Oscars party hosted by Radhika Jones at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills in another Louis Vuitton dress we won’t soon forget.
We’ve been seeing Ana in a lot of muted hues lately, so it was refreshing to see her wear some color for a nice change. Her semi-sheer, stained-glass-reminiscent figure-hugging dress also came with a fierce thigh-high slit, and she wore her hair in a sleek and straight down do for modern, effortless glamour.
