Angela Bassett Glows In A Classy White Suit At The BAFTA Tea Party
The Golden Globe-winning actress’ BAFTA Tea Party look was embellished with gorgeous gold metallic circles and embroidered flowers. Styled by Jennifer Austin, her blazer was layered over a curve-hugging white top. Bassett soared in a brilliant pair of gold Giuseppe Zanotti six-inch platform heels. She completed her outfit with a gold Waters Faith necklace and sparkling Alexis Bitter hoop earrings.
As for makeup and hair, the What’s Love Got To Do With It actress parted her beautiful, curly locks down the middle and past her shoulders. For her makeup look for the evening, Bassett donned a rosy eyeshadow with bold black eyeliner and voluminous lashes. She topped it all off with shiny lip gloss. We truly can’t believe Bassett is 64–it seems like she’s aging in reverse!

Angela Bassett Receives BAFTA Nomination For ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’
In 2019, Black Panther became one of the first movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to win an Oscar. The film took home three Academy Awards and the film’s sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, might have similar luck. The highly-anticipated Marvel movie is making waves this awards season thanks to Bassett’s performance as Queen Ramonda. Recently, the actress won Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes and the Critics Choice Awards, and Bassett was just nominated for a BAFTA Award. “Congratulations to Angela Bassett for her @BAFTA nomination for Best Supporting Actress for Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever! #EEBAFTAs,” Marvel shared on Instagram.

“Queen Ramonda is a role that I always dreamt of playing, you know, the role of a queen,” Bassett said to TODAY about how the role helped her grow as an actor. “I came up as a young person, an actor, not seeing that sort of representation out there. Having seen many queens on film, on stage, but none that looked quite like me.”
