Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter, Vivienne, seems to have parted ways with her ‘Pitt’ surname and fans continue to accuse the Bullet Train actor’s ex wife of parent alienation.
As reported by People Magazine over the weekend, Vivienne’s name appeared in the producer’s assistant slot as “Vivienne Jolie,” instead of “Vivienne Jolie-Pitt” in the Playbill obtained by the publication for the Angelina-produced musical, The Outsiders.
Right now, there is no confirmation from the Jolie-Pitt pair that their youngest daughter, 15, has legally changed her name.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s Youngest Appears In ‘The Outsiders” Playbill as Vivienne Jolie, Not Pitt
While the Maleficent star, 48, recently came under fire for reportedly telling her children to “avoid spending time” with their father, 60, this is not the first time we have seen a Brangelina kid forgo their father’s surname.
As seen in a video shared by Essence, eldest daughter, Zahara, introduced herself while joining the Mu Pi chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College as “Zahara Marley Jolie,” not Pitt, in November 2023.
It was also discovered this month, when Shiloh’s dance teacher tagged her in an Instagram post, that the 18-year-old dancer also dropped her hyphenated name.
Fans continue to speculate that Angelina is influencing her children's opinion of their father, leading to the drop of their hyphenated names.
“It’s heartbreaking,” a source told In Touch Weekly. “The implication is that they want nothing to do with Brad.”
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's Divorce Continues To Get Public Reactions
The couple was together for 10 years before their wedding in 2014, but their split quickly followed in 2016. The duo has since gone through a very public divorce and custody battle of their six children.
But the battle for custody does not stop at their children. In recent custody battles of the couples’ $162M French winery, the family’s former bodyguard, Tony Webb, claimed that Angelina may be to blame for their children’s actions toward their father.
Webb claimed one of his employees once heard the Girl, Interrupted star “encouraging [the kids] to avoid spending time with Mr. Pitt during custody visits.”
The Tomb Raider actress has not been quiet over the span of the eight year divorce battles about the social hardships she has faced since the beginning of the split, but fans have recently been taking to social media to voice their criticism of her.
“Those two have become incredibly toxic towards each other, but Jolie seems to be by far the most toxic,” one critic commented on a recent Fox News story regarding the couple. “She has been extremely vindictive and will not let it go. It sickens me that she has apparently been actively alienating the kids from Pitt. Such a person shouldn’t be a representative to the UN for children.”
After eight years of back and forth between these two, and three of out six kids dropping their father’s name, it seems that the couple is not much closer to working out their differences.
