Angelina Jolie Dazzles In Elegant All-Black Ensemble While Promoting Her Label
The Girl, Interrupted alum and Bullet Train actor famously split in 2016, and have been embroiled in a highly publicized and acrimonious dispute over custody in recent years.
While visiting her store, Jolie wore her shiny, layered, caramel-colored tresses down, parted in the center and styled sleek-straight. She also appeared to sport shimmery pink lip gloss and a touch of rosy blush on her high cheekbones.
Located at 57 Great Jones St. in New York City, Jolie's new store is housed in a graffitied building with a rich artistic history. It was previously owned by the legendary Andy Warhol, who purchased it in 1970.
Warhol also rented the second floor to his friend and fellow iconic artist, Jean-Michel Basquiat, adding to the building's cultural significance.
Back in July 2023, Jolie wrote in an Instagram post caption: "'A privilege to be in this space. We will do our best to respect and honor its artist legacy with community and creativity. Hope to see you there."
She also dished to Vogue in September of last year that she doesn't "want to be a big fashion designer," but rather aims to "build a house for other people to become that" with her latest career venture.
"I'm hoping to change many aspects of my life. And this is the forward-facing one," she added. The Lara Croft: Tomb Raider star added that she wants her label to inspire women to "feel safe enough" to be "soft."
She elaborated: "Sometimes the way you dress says, "Don’t mess with me - I’ve got my armor on." But I want a woman to feel safe enough that she can be soft."
Jolie went on: "After I went through something where I was hurt, I had a therapist ask if I would try wearing a flowing garment. Sounds silly, but I assumed that pants and boots projected a 'tougher' look, a stronger me."
"Was I strong enough to be soft? At the time, no. I felt vulnerable. Now I wonder if... I don’t know what my style is because I’m still understanding who I am at 48."
