Angelina Jolie has been one of our favorite brunette actresses for many decades now. Although she has experimented with different brunette shades over the years, often going lighter with highlights and balayage, for example, she hasn’t taken the plunge and changed her hair color that drastically… until now!
Angelina Jolie Goes From Brunette To Blonde
The 48-year-old Oscar-winning actress – who was actually blonde when she picked up her Academy Award for Girl, Interrupted way back in 2000 – has gone for a complete hair-over and transformed her brunette locks to honey blonde ones! Angelina's hair has actually been getting lighter over the past few months, and we, and the rest of the world, are utterly obsessed with the new color!
The former United Nations goodwill ambassador first unveiled her lighter new 'do last month while promoting her Atelier Jolie collaboration with French fashion house Chloé and its creative director Gabriela Hearst (click here to find out more deets) and her fans were predictably enamored with the transformation. Along with recent pics of the mom of six, one fan tweeted, "Angelina Jolie with blonde hair is the superior look." Another said that she can "pull off anything," which is something we definitely agree with.
It looks like the blonde is here to stay, as she has been papped several times since then rocking the lighter hue. But is this soft, caramel blonde shade the final color in her hair transformation journey, or is it a transition shade en route to an even lighter blonde? Was she inspired by Kim Kardashian's platinum blonde hair or the current Barbie blonde craze, we wonder?
Angelina Jolie Is Papped Rocking Her New Blonde Hair In New York With Son Pax
Despite the lighter locks, which as we know are achieved with bleach and other things that could potentially damage hair, the Eternals actress's hair looks healthier than ever! When she was papped in New York City with her 19-year-old son Pax at the end of last month, her hair looked super glossy and enviable, with the ends flicked out to create more volume and dimension. We're in love!
We're obsessed with the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider star's new 'do, although we can't decide if she looks better as a blonde or a brunette. She might just be one of those people who can rock both!
