Angelina Jolie being described as sexy is hardly breaking news – it’s pretty much a fact of life that absolutely no one on this planet can dispute. However, the 46-year-old actress out-sexied (that’s definitely a word) herself when she turned up to the Eternals photocall at the Rome Film Festival on October 25th in a mini dress that turned heads, stopped hearts, and set pulses racing! Not just any mini dress – a leather mini dress at that! How the photographers managed to actually take the pictures and didn’t faint on the spot is completely beyond us!
The Oscar-winner made the most of being in Italy by choosing an Italian fashion brand for her red carpet appearance, and went for a strapless black mini dress by none other than Dolce and Gabbana. If you want a sexy outfit, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are definitely the guys for the job!
The Lara Croft: Tomb Raider star has quite the sartorial love affair with leather, having previously worn a floor-length black leather Atelier Versace gown for the Maleficent world premiere back in 2014, and a strapless black leather Michael Kors midi dress for the Inglorious Basterds Los Angeles premiere in 2009, to name just two occasions. We don't think we will ever tire of seeing her in leather – who's with us? The Mr. & Mrs. Smith actress accessorized her jaw-dropping look with some matching Dolce and Gabbana black patent leather sandals, seductive red nail polish, and her hair blown out into a sleek yet bouncy down-do that hung effortlessly over her shoulders.
This is actually the first time Jolie has worn Dolce and Gabbana on the red carpet in two decades, if you can believe it; but judging by the success of this look, we think – and hope – she won’t wait as long to reach for one of the Italian design duo's pieces again. Given Angie's current love for wearing sustainable outfits, we are confident that she might be able to find something in the fashion house's archives for her next red carpet appearance.
