Angelina Jolie looked effortlessly chic for a special event hosted at her Atelier Jolie store in New York City this week.
The Oscar winner and style icon, 49, donned a fuzzy long black coat with a belt tied around her tiny waist (a timeless look she’s sported many times before), and added a matching silk dress beneath it.
To top off her ensemble for her fashion line’s big day, the Girl, Interrupted actress stepped out in black heels and rocked square brown shades. As for her glam, Jolie wore her dirty blonde tresses down, parted off to the side and styled into a voluminous blowout.

Jolie's gathering drew a host of A-list celebrities, among them actor Chris Rock, renowned fashion designer Tory Burch alongside her husband Pierre-Yves Roussel, and the iconic designer Diane Von Furstenberg. Jolie first announced the launch of her sustainable fashion brand Atelier Jolie in May 2023.
She noted that her goal was to help “democratize the fashion industry,” with Atelier Jolie pieces, allowing customers to “have access to a collective of emerging designers and master artisans.” The Eternals star also told fans that she plans to make an “inclusive online resource for finding garment makers, making use of curated dead stock and vintage materials to create one-of-a-kind pieces that embody personal creativity and purpose.”
Jolie has been busy in the Big Apple lately while also promoting her buzzing Pablo Larraín-directed Maria Callas biopic, Maria, in which she stars as the late acclaimed opera singer. The buzzing forthcoming movie will be released in select theaters in the US on November 27th.
Starting December 11th, it will be ready to stream via Netflix. In anticipation of Maria, Jolie disclosed at a press conference last month that she dedicated several months to honing her singing abilities. The Lara Croft star also received invaluable support from her sons, who helped ease her anxiety.
“I was terribly nervous; I spent almost seven months training,” Jolie said in August, as reported by People. “My first time singing, I remember being so nervous. My sons were there and they helped to block the door [so] that nobody else was coming in, and I was shaky.”
As noted on the official site for the New York Film Festival, Maria is "set in Paris, September 1977, during the final week of [Maria Callas'] life" and follows the "legendary soprano as she negotiates her public image and private self and reckons with the increasingly blurred boundaries between the venerated ‘La Divina’ and the vulnerable human being Maria."
