It’s rare for a celeb like Angelina Jolie to take a bad photo or have an unflattering angle, but fans believe her Vogue Mexico cover shows that even one of the world’s most beautiful women isn’t immune to less-than-perfect pictures.

For the cover, shot by Dan Martensen, the Maria actress stunned in a square-neck black dress by Christian Dior. Staying true to her minimalist style, she kept the look understated with her honey-blonde hair styled in a side part, cascading over her chest, complemented by dark eyeliner and a subtle coral lip tint. When fans saw the image, they pointed out the “sad” look on her face and discussed the low-quality cover shot.

Fans React to Angelina Jolie's 'Vogue Mexico' Cover

One fan called the photo “unflattering” on theFashionSpot, while another said, “She looks really sad here, like she got the worst possible news just before she walked on set.”

Another user wrote, “These look like outtakes. It takes skill to make Angelina Jolie look this bad.”

“Upon second look, that's quite an unflattering shot of Angelina Jolie. Not her best angle. Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott remain the best photographers to capture Angelina at her best. That being said, I like the coloring and the simplicity of it all..." wrote someone else.

Perhaps the Mr. & Mrs. Smith icon was photographed from an unflattering angle or under poor lighting, or she may have simply appeared somber as she discussed her "private pain" in the interview with the publication, hinting at her divorce from Brad Pitt and their ongoing legal battle.

When chatting about her singing voice in Maria, the mother of six explained, “I had to take a deep breath and let it all out, and in between that, I also had to let out my real voice… which I also didn’t really have, because it’s where I carried my private pain, my gentleness, and a lot of things that I felt I didn’t own, that I didn’t feel safe letting out; it also involved owning something that I didn’t want to deal with.”

She further added, "There’s something that happens in these beautiful pieces of music that you can’t sing unless you can access a certain part of yourself."
