Fans Think Anne Hathaway Is 'Aging Backwards' After Seeing Her New Makeup-Free Shiseido Ad

Anne Hathaway‘s ability to pull off a wide variety of epic beauty looks is no secret. From bold red lips and smokey cat-eyes to dewy, radiant blush and glossy pouts, the Devil Wears Prada actress can rock anything, and is just as stunning on the red carpet as she is in her more stripped-back moments.

Last week, the Oscar winner, 40, announced that she is the new brand ambassador for Shiseido. The company shared gorg photos and videos of the actress with minimal to no makeup, highlighting her natural beauty and youthful-looking skin. The WeCrashed star posed in front of a white background for the new shoot, promoting Shiseido’s Vital Perfection Uplifting and Firming Cream.

Naturally, fans couldn’t get enough of Hathaway’s breathtaking complexion, and headed to her latest Instagram post comment section to praise her “agelessness” and “timeless beauty.”

On September 7th, Hathaway shared the new photos from her shoot and captioned her IG post: “‘I’m so excited to be a @shiseido brand ambassador and am honored to have been chosen to represent the line #VitalPerfection!!”

She added, for her 30.4 million followers: “Shiseido and I are aligned in our belief that your skin is one of the most important investments you can make in your life and that we should never stop exploring our own potential—at any age.” Hathaway concluded her message: “Thank you to Shiseido for inviting me to join your wonderful family!”

Fans shared their thoughts, with one commenting: “mother is aging backwards” as another added: “she is TIMELESS.” Someone else replied: “Okay but you literally have not aged!” One other wrote: “You have to tell me your skin routine because you, girl, do not age.” More added heart-eyes, fire and red heart emojis to compliment Hathaway.

Shiseido also recently shared a promotional campaign video featuring Hathaway as the face of its Vital Perfection Cream. The black-and-white clip showcases the Princess Diaries alum gracefully walking around an empty room, opening curtains and letting natural sunlight in.

Hathaway elegantly spun around the drapes, clad in a white tank top that was tucked into a pair of dark and comfortably baggy jeans. Her hair, artfully parted on the side, flowed in loose and luxurious waves.

“Finding your light is not always easy. It can be hard to remember that even shadows can lead us to light,” she said in the video. “Sometimes the light is hidden, waiting to be found … Like our potential. It exists within a brilliance that knows no limits,” she added in the audio played in the background.

As the video shifted to color, Hathaway’s radiant smile, smooth complexion, lengthy lashes, and lustrous lips captivated the screen. With a toss of her hair, she effusively praised the moisturizer from the brand.

On August 29th, the Dark Knight Rises actress disclosed her skincare regimen to Vogue, wherein she spoke highly of the label. “I really love face sheets and eye patches … I had my Shiseido [eye mask] on just before this interview,” she said. “You can’t go wrong with water.”

Amidst the frenzy of fans admiring Hathaway’s radiant and youthful appearance, her recent skincare collaboration couldn’t have come at a better time!
