Anne Hathaway arrived at the 2023 British Fashion Awards in London on Monday in a gorgeous vintage Valentino gown, but only narrowly avoided a wardrobe malfunction. The dress in question has a very low-cut scooped neckline, and while posing for photographers on the red carpet, the Oscar winner had to take a moment to adjust the garment, or risk showing a bit more skin than she intended.
The British Fashion Awards were held at the Royal Albert Hall, and was quite the star-studded event. Gwyneth Paltrow, Rita Ora, Amal Clooney, Winnie Harlow, and Suki Waterhouse are just a few of the celebrities that showed off their outfits on the red carpet. According to the event’s website, the annual gathering “brings together a global community in London, the home of fashion creativity, to amplify leaders of change, celebrate excellence in creativity and support the next generation of creative talent.” Keep reading for more information.
Anne Hathaway Stuns In Vintage Valentino
The mother-of-two wore a couture vintage Valentino gown from the Spring/Summer 1993 collection. The cream-colored ensemble featured a daring low-cut scooped neckline as part of the ribbed bodice, and featured a tiered fringe skirt with an airy, pleated skirt underneath. The actress wore her long, dark locks down her back, and modeled a silver choker necklace.
She arrived wearing a black and white checked cape with the gown, though she took it off for most of the pictures. She kept her make-up minimal, going with a pinkish-red lip and simple eye-makeup.
