Anne Hathaway embodied regal elegance at the opening ceremony of Bulgari’s Serpenti Infinito Exhibition in Shanghai on Wednesday. The appearance honored the upcoming Year of the Snake in the lunar calendar.

The Devil Wears Prada icon dazzled in a structured Oscar de la Renta tea-length ball gown in metallic gold straight from their Spring 2025 collection. The strapless piece featured a voluminous skirt that took up space around her and a “crumb-catcher” neckline.

The 42-year-old elevated her Audrey Hepburn-inspired ensemble with gold peep-toe heels.

The Princess Diaries alum also carried a chic diamond top-handle bag that went perfectly with her outfit.

Her jewelry had to be mesmerizing since she was representing Bulgari, of course. The mother of two chose the luxury brand’s iconic Serpenti necklace made of mostly gold with pink and blue gemstones for some pop of color.

Her brunette locks were styled in a sleek bun with a chic side-parted bang, perfectly complementing her look. She completed her glam with a soft pink lip and rosy cheeks.

Fans were obsessed with her look as one user commented on social media, “Yes, absolutely, she looks like a princess.”

Anne Hathaway Shares Her Thoughts on the Fashion World

The Idea Of You actress recently chatted with WWD to share her thoughts on fashion and what this industry means to her as an actress.

“I’m someone who’s slow to open—I’m getting much, much, much better at it. But fashion to me is a business made on creativity and intimate relationships. I think when I was looking at it more from the outside, I didn’t understand that the business people are also creative and that the creative people are also business-oriented and that they really do take care of each other.”

She continued, “And so that’s the part that I think I didn’t understand, is the level of care and passion and authenticity. Genuine humanity exists within fashion. I appreciate that so much more now, partially because I know so many more people in it. When I arrived at that place in a more meaningful way in my life, that was when it opened up for me in terms of a tangible relationship in fashion.”

Hathaway also works with Versace, and expressed how she feels about working with such a fashion-forward brand, especially now that she’s in her 40s: “It’s something I’m very proud of for a lot of different reasons. I am very excited to work for a company that wants to have a 40-year-old woman as their face. And by the way, 40 years old does not have to be the ceiling. I love to work with people who love you back, and it’s amazing to be seen by people who are looking for someone like you.”
