Anne Hathaway has been noticeably absent from this year’s awards season red carpet, but she has had a good reason!
The 42-year-old Oscar-winning actress has been busy working on her brand new movie Verity, which is based on the Colleen Hoover book of the same name. And she was recently papped filming one of the most important scenes in New York City, looking nothing short of incredible! Check out some pictures here.
Anne Hathaway Snapped In A Fiery Red Dress While Filming ‘Verity’ In New York City
Recent pap pictures of the Bulgari ambassador – who is playing the role of Verity Crawford in the movie – show her and co-star Josh Hartnett – who is playing Jeremy Crawford – dressed to the nines and holding hands while seemingly skipping in New York City.
The Devil Wears Prada alum looks stunning in a red ruched dress featuring asymmetric sleeves and a super-daring front slit to reveal her enviably long, toned pins. For his part, Hartnett, 46, is wearing a tux with the bow tie undone, and carrying a tuxedo jacket with one hand, while holding the Princess Diaries actress’s hand with the other.
This is a very important scene, as it is when characters Verity and Jeremy meet for the first time while attending a black tie function. Fans of the book took to social media to share their excitement for the movie, as well as Hartnett’s long-awaited return to acting…
Fan Comments
“She’s going to be a fantastic Verity!” exclaimed one fan on an Entertainment Tonight Instagram post featuring the pap pics, followed by the hand praising emoji. “Agree,” replied a second fan, as a third said Anne was “beautiful” followed by six red heart emojis.
“My millennial heart is melting over this duo,” gushed a fourth fan, followed by the heart eyes emoji, as a fifth replied: “Same girl, same.” “We millennials asked for this. They’re doing the Lord’s work with this one,” raved another excited fan. “The only Colleen Hoover book I’m excited to see as a movie!” added another, we assume in reference to Hoover’s previous book-turned-movie, It Ends With Us.
