Anne Hathaway made jaws drop when she attended the premiere of She Came to Me – the latest film from writer-director Rebecca Miller – at the 2023 Berlin International Film Festival in Germany on Thursday, February 16th, rocking two of the biggest trends of the moment!
Anne Hathaway Wears Sheer Valentino Haute Couture Dress At The Berlin International Film Festival
For the red carpet, the 40-year-old Oscar winner and undisputed style maven wore a black and sheer floor-length dress from the Valentino Spring 2023 Haute Couture collection, featuring delicate polka dots and leather bows on the sheer underlay. It looks like the dress comes with a nude bodysuit underneath to preserve Anne’s modesty, and all in all, this is a stellar example of how sheer dresses can look chic, sophisticated, and elegant all at the same time!
The Les Misérables actress elevated the look even further by teaming the dress with some seductive leather opera gloves, which is a trend loved by everyone including Princess Kate, who updated her recycled Alexander McQueen dress at the BAFTAs with a sleek pair of black opera gloves.
Anne quite cleverly wore her hair up to let the dress command all of the attention, and to reveal her dazzling Bulgari earrings; and for makeup, she kept things natural yet glowing, with a subtle cat eye and nude lips.
Fan Comments
Naturally the Witches star's fans flocked to the comments section of her Instagram post of her red carpet look to rave about it! "The prettiest women alive," one fan gushed, while another called the look "sublime" followed by an apt red heart emoji. "Great dress Anne. Nice to have you here in Berlin," said another. "Miranda would approve," another fan wrote, in reference to Meryl Streep's character, Miranda Priestly, in The Devil Wears Prada.
"Annie you look beautiful," praised another one of her fans, while someone else said, "always such a stunning woman and your smile stops time." "Classiest woman in the world," added another fan, followed by a smiley face emoji. "You look great and you are so chic," complimented another fan, followed by three red heart emojis.

Anne Hathaway On What Excited Her About 'She Came To Me'
The Oceans 8 star opened up to The Hollywood Reporter about what She Came to Me was about, and how she got involved in it. "It’s sort of an operatic comedy," she said, adding, "Well, if you see the movie, I think it’ll make sense." She added: "Once it gets going it’s just overwhelming and beautiful and dimensional and you get really swept up in it. There’s a certain moment for me where the table has been set and then the meal really starts to be served and everything clicks in. I’m just like, I don’t want to be anywhere else and I care about these people so much and I’m rooting for everybody." Talking about working with Rebecca Miller, Anne said, "I have a list of directors that my reps know about and they’re just a blinking 'Yes.'"
"I was so excited when the script got sent my way, and I read it, and I was charmed by it," the Bride Wars actress continued, before going on to say that the music is a really big part of the movie. "I thought the script was great, and I thought the project was really promising, but I just wanted to know what the music was going to be. So much of this movie really lives on that. I met Rebecca and after speaking with her I just knew that whatever the music was going to be it was going to be right."
