Strategically placing blush on the face can work wonders in enhancing one’s appearance, particularly for women who have surpassed the age of 40 and are more susceptible to fine lines and wrinkles.

With the intention of assisting mature beauties who want to learn more about blush over 40, a proficient makeup artist and beauty guru by the name of Melissa, aka @mtagbeauty on TikTok, posted a useful video demonstrating how to correctly apply blush to uplift and rejuvenate one’s visage, leaving them with a glowing and revitalized appearance.

Essential Blush Hack For Mature Beauties: Place Your Blush In A ‘C’ Shape

In her TikTok tutorial, the expert explained that many women have traditionally been taught to place blush on the “apples of their cheeks,” and to suck in their cheeks when applying it to enhance the cheekbones.

As we age and skin naturally begins to sag, there is another more suitable tip that can help “lift the face,” Melissa says, as this apple/ cheek placement method isn’t as flattering for mature beauties.

"In order to lift the face, I'm going to show you a quick little tip," she adds, while using her index finger and thumb to create a "C-shape" with her hand over her hairline and her thumb "right on the cheekbone."

She then says to angle it "towards your nose." Next, the artist can be seen using a powder brush and instructing to "put blush in that C [shape]."

She then compared one side of her face in which she used the traditional method of applying blush solely to the apple area, and the other in which she added it in the 'C' shape.

"Do you see the difference?" she asked while showcasing how one side of her face looked much more radiant and lifted. "This lifts your face," she said while pointing to the C-shape.

"This just makes it a little more round, she concluded, while gesturing toward the other side. (Sounds worth a try to us!)
