Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and all others, have great anti-inflammatory properties. So simple, isn't it? Whole fruits seem to always be the answer to all of your diet problems. If your belly is inflamed, berries are your ticket to a flat stomach in the morning. Berries and other dark-colored fruits are high in inflammation-fighting compounds like anthocyanins. The compounds in them, such as one called cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitors, actually signal your body to stop any inflammatory processes. They're also rich in antioxidants, which is an important ingredient for fighting inflammation, says Lona Sandon, PhD, RDN.

Another component of berries that makes them great for achieving that flat stomach you long for is the high amount of fiber in them. Studies have even found that regularly consuming berries can lower your levels of inflammatory markers.
