Compounds in the tea called catechins inhibit body fat from accumulating by directing hormones to influence fat cells to break down fat. The result is you get to use the fat in your bloodstream for energy instead of it settling on your rear. Studies show that green tea can boost metabolism enough to see an almost 5% extra daily calorie burn.
