Anya Taylor-Joy Recalls Feeling Isolated While Filming Furiosa
The Queen's Gambit star has been quite active recently. After her stunning appearances during award show season, she's been spotted at fashion shows and Tiffany & Co. events, where she serves as an ambassador.
But this comes after she experienced some loneliness while filming Furiosa. Reflecting on her role in the movie, Taylor-Joy revealed she felt isolated and lonely during filming, pushing herself both mentally and physically through challenging times on set.
She revealed, "I was really pushing the boundaries of what my body and mind could do. I was driving through the streets of Sydney like, ‘I haven’t seen a single person in months. I haven’t seen anybody who doesn’t look like they’re in the Wasteland. I’ve been living in an alien world.'"
"My favorite flowers have always been seeded dandelions or the daisies that grow through concrete. I think I wanted to be placed in concrete. I wanted to understand how that would feel. When you get too comfortable, you stop growing," she added.
