With so many apps available for downloading, and only so much storage space on your iPhone, it can be a challenge to figure out which are worth your time. Marco Polo is a video chatting app that allows you to record your video and send it out to recipients. They, in turn, can record their own videos at their leisure and forward them back. The highly rated app, which boasts 1.8 million ratings in the App store, claims to never sell user data for advertising. It provides unlimited chats and groups with voice effects and camera filters.

The one downside to the Marco Polo app is that a subscription costs $9.99 a month if you want to be billed monthly or $5 a month if billed annually (for a total cost of $59.99 a month).  But if the old saying is true — if an app is free, you are the product — then you can feel more secure that your data and privacy will be better protected with this app.
