Every time Apple comes out with a new iPhone its loyal customers wait to hear what interesting and exciting features the brand will unleash this time around. And, most of the time, Apple comes through — past iterations of the ionic phone have included an improved camera and touch ID. But Apple just dropped this MAJOR bombshell about iPhones — and customers aren’t happy. Seems there a few changes being made to the iPhone 12 that are leaving some confused about Apple’s choices.
It seems the iPhone 12 will be sold without a few accessories that Apple customers have come to rely upon. The new phone will not include a power charger or wired earbuds — but Apple’s reasoning is because these items aren’t great for the environment,
Apple predicts that eliminating the production of these accessories, as well as the packaging they come in, will help the brand achieve its environmental goals by reducing 2 million metric tons of carbon annually — which is synonymous with 450,000 fewer cars on the road.
In a press release, Apple’s spokesperson explained why the iPhone 12 is still well worth the cost: "This is a huge leap for iPhone, bringing the best 5G experience in the market and delivering our most advanced technologies to users who want the absolute most from their iPhone. Each generation of iPhone has changed what we expect from a smartphone, and now with 5G, iPhone 12 Pro provides a new generation of performance."
Good news: your iPhone 12 will come with a USB-C to Lightning charging cable. And it may be possible to pick up an extra power adapter and wired headphones, should you need them, for a bit less money via a second-hand source.
