You shouldn’t have to sift through dozens (or even hundreds) of nonsense emails every day to get to the few that you need to actually read for work or personal reasons. Unfortunately, that is the sad reality when it comes to most email accounts — spam reigns supreme. Whether you are constantly getting hit by promotional ads or feeling the effect of visiting a shopping site one time via a social media channel (because now they’re bombarding you with info you don’t want or need), email spam can feel intrusive. The good news is that Apple has created features that can and will help you avoid the worst of spam so that you can get the best experience possible from your email account. Here, an Apple expert tells us how to get less spam emails.

Use The Hide My Email Feature

Apple offers a number of features that help boost your privacy and security — and Hide My Email is among the best, according to experts. Spending between $1 and $10 per month for the iCloud Plus package includes three services — Hide My Email is the winner that can trim junk email from your inbox and deliver it straight to your spam account so that you never have to deal with it. The Hide My Email feature lets you create unique email addresses while you’re on a website. Then it sends legit email to you inbox while ensuring that your actual email address doesn’t end up on spam lists. In other words, your personal email address will stay private from those sites that will spam you.

How Can You Turn On The Hide My Email Feature?

This feature is simple to activate.

Open Settings
Tap your Apple ID name
Tap iCloud
Tap Hide My Email
Tap Create New Address
Label it

It’s that simple. Consider this feature if you are receiving so much spam that organizing your email to find the messages you need is becoming a chore.
