In what seems like the endless ocean of innovative Apple products on the market, it can be a challenge to figure out which are pearls that are actually worthy of your money. It’s no secret that most Apple accessories come with relatively hefty price tags, which makes it all the more important to figure out beforehand if they’re really worth those luxury price tags. From chargers to fancy Apple Watch straps — there’s no end in sight to the number of Apple goodies you can add to your collection. But if you’re on a tight budget, this is the one Apple product that is never worth your money, according to experts — as well as a few Apple accessories experts say you should save up your pennies to buy.

Don’t Buy: Apple MagSafe Charger

Apple MagSafe Charger is one of the accessories that are a complete waste of money, according to Tech Expert Diane Sawyer, founder of FindPeopleFast.net. “It is a small portable charger, which is suitable for emergency purposes,” Sawyer explains. “It has a classy metal exterior that gets easily scratched. The scratched metal exterior gives it a shabby look, and it is not durable at all. If you are cutting down the cost and saving money, buying this charger is ultimately a waste of time. Instead, you can buy a standard iPhone charger for more extended durability and fast charging.”

Buy This Instead: Belkin BoostCharge 10W Fast Wireless Charging Stand

“This stylish charging stand allows you to keep your phone either in portrait or in landscape view while charging,” Sawyer says. “It also enables a fast wireless charging feature for any iPhone or Android phone. It comes with an exclusive three-year warranty. A wall plug and a 4 foot long micro USB cable are also included.”

Don’t Buy: 45mm Maize Braided Solo Loop

As Tech Expert Ryan Yount, founder of LuckLuckGo, explains, Apple offers lots of cool stuff to buy from their online store; however, the 45mm Maize braided solo loop is not worth spending money on. “It is just a luxury item rather than a necessity,” Yount says. “Although it's intended to make the Apple watches ultra-comfortable, the straps on them are actually comfortable enough. It's unnecessary because it does not give any true value to the items one has from Apple aside from being fancy.”

Buy This Instead: Apple Pencil

“This out-of-the-world tool expands the power of the iPad by opening up more creative possibilities since it allows you to handwrite notes, create shapes and lines,” Yount says. “Another cool thing about this pen is its pressure sensitivity, enabling you to determine the line weight, create ultra-fine shadings, and produce artistic effects like drawing with a pencil. Additionally, the pen connects to your device through Bluetooth and lightning connectivity, plus it features a magnetically attached cap.”
