With the holidays quickly approaching, many people’s minds are on gift giving (and receiving). If you’re a devotee to Apple products, the brand’s phones, computers, and gadgets may be at the top of your list of must-have gifts. But it’s worth noting that some Apple products fly off shelves faster than others, so planning when to buy gifts is a good idea. Apple Expert Jonny Evans, who runs an Apple focused website at www.applemust.com and writes a daily blog at www.Computerworld.com, spoke to SHEFinds.com about the one Apple product experts say will sell out before Christmas — and, spoiler alert — it’s not AirPods.
Let’s be upfront: if you are planning to purchase AirPods or put them on your wish list, it’s always a good idea to buy them early. But that doesn’t mean you should slack when it comes to getting a head start on snagging other Apple products for the holidays.
“Other than AirPods, I think there are two [that will sell out], both the iPad Air and also the MacBook Air,” Evans says.
It’s not difficult to see why these products are best-sellers. In the case of the iPad Air, Evans says it is a “phenomenal product at a great price that delivers the functionality of an iPad Pro.”
The MacBook Air, meanwhile, is ideal for the person on your list who is always on the go, but needs a high functioning computer with plenty of bells and whistles. Evans calls it “one of the first new Apple Macs to use its new processor design, but [it] is also light, really portable and is absolutely the Mac to get if you travel a lot, and want to run real Mac apps as well as iPhone and iPad apps.”
This year’s Christmas wish lists will also see one of Apple’s latest and greatest devices: The iPhone 12. “I also think iPhone 12 Pro will sell through as its camera is so good and the price should appeal to Thanksgiving gift givers,” Evans says.
Bottom line: start shopping now, or take advantage of Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals when possible, so that you have no trouble scoring the Apple products you want to gift — or receive.
