Ariana Grande Sports A Chic Flipped-Out, Collarbone-Length Bob In Star-Studded 'The Boy Is Mine' Music Video
Fans can't stop raving about Grande's sleek, straight bob with flipped-out ends, which perfectly complements her Catwoman-esque character in the star-studded video.
It seems like Grande is thoroughly enjoying her temporary brunette hair, showing off her tresses in multiple Instagram posts and uploads for her 378 million followers over the past week.
In the thrilling video, Grande paired her new espresso-brown locks with a cat ear headband and a sultry all-black, fitted outfit.
The "We Can't Be Friends" crooner also added a touch of mystery by wearing a mask to cover her eyes while stalking none other than You actor Penn Badgley, taking on elements of his iconic Netflix role.
As soon as Grande unveiled a behind-the-scenes photo collection post from the making of her latest music video (above), fans were quick to flock to the comments section and weigh in on her stunning hair transformation.
"Brown hair? who’s this," one wrote as another added: "The HAIR!! You’re so cute." Someone else chimed in, commenting: "This hair," with heart-eye emojis as others conveyed their (and our) thoughts on her new color with red hearts and fire emojis.
On May 27th, Grande first teased her most recent music video on IG, providing fans with a glimpse of what to expect. The short video showed a man leaning over a sink filled with ice, before cutting to a hand that appeared from behind a door frame. The title cards then revealed the song title and its June 7th release date.
"The Boy Is Mine" marks the third viral music video to be inspired by Grande's seventh studio record, Eternal Sunshine, with the preceding hits being "Yes, And?" and "We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)." Grande dropped her latest LP on March 8th with 13 pop, R&B and dance-infused tracks.
In the visual for "The Boy Is Mine," Badgley, 37, stars as a freshly-elected mayor who devises an unconventional solution to the city's pesky rat problem - unleashing a pack of hungry cats into the streets.
Singers Brandy and Monica also appear in the vid, assuming the roles of newscasters who set the stage for the arrival of the mayor just before an important media briefing.
Grande also announced this week that she will release a remix of "The Boy Is Mine" along with Brandy, 45, and Monica, 43 out June 21st. Grande previously credited the duo's 1998 hit track of the same name as inspiration for her record's third single. Mark your calendars!
