Ariana Grande has been in hot water with fans ever since she and her boyfriend and former co-star, Ethan Slater, got together back in July. Why? Well, both Ariana and Ethan broke off their marriages within weeks of reports of them seeing one another, and even worse, Ethan and his high school sweetheart ex-wife just had their first child together. It’s a mess, to say the least.
Her new “yes, and?” music video continues to garner thousands of views in the days since its release, with fans buzzing about the possible meanings behind her infectious lyrics. It features scenes where Ariana’s critics are “exclusively” invited to watch her perform.
Ariana Grande’s Instagram Following Declines After New Single And Video ReleaseAccording to SocialBlade, an analytics site, Ariana’s Instagram account has experienced a decline in followers amounting to 369,630 since the beginning of January. Since her video dropped on January 12th, many fans on X (formerly Twitter) shared their qualms with the song’s lyrics and visual. “Ariana Grande really out here praising herself as being a homewrecker in her new song like nooooooo girl,” one tweeted as another added: “Can we just cancel #ArianaGrande for being a homewrecker.”
Some of the song’s most memorable lyrics include: “Say that s–t with your chest, keep moving like, ‘What’s next? Yes, and?'” and “Your business is yours, and mine is mine / Why do you care so much whose d–k I ride?”
