It is also worth noting that a prenuptial agreement was signed by the "7 rings" hitmaker and Gomez, which ultimately entitles the latter to a sum of $1,250,000. However, as the outlet points out, Gomez will not receive any spousal support as he will be granted a tax-free payment upfront, rather than being paid over time.
Furthermore, TMZ also revealed that under the terms of their agreement, Gomez is entitled to receive half of the net proceeds from the sale of their former LA home. The publication also reported that the "thank u, next" artist will be covering up to $25,000 of Gomez's attorney fees.
The settlement has been formally filed and is presently awaiting the approval of a judge. The former couple began dating in February 2020 and tied the knot in May 2021.
According to an insider who recently sat down with People Magazine: "They’ve been really caring and respectful of one another through every step of this process."
The insider also dished to the outlet that the uncoupling was "kind and patient," noting that both Grande and Gomez had "moved on."
Following the announcement of Grande and Gomez's highly publicized breakup earlier this summer, speculations began to arise regarding her love life, with rumors circulating that she may be romantically linked to her Wicked co-star, Ethan Slater. It has been reported that Grande and Slater met on set while filming the much-awaited live-action musical.
TMZ first broke the news that Slater and Grande were seeing each other. The outlet also noted that Slater had just separated from his wife, Lilly Jay. Slater and Jay welcomed their first child, a son, in August 2022. According to another source who talked to People in July, things got more serious between Grande and Slater after they both called it quits with their former partners.
