Ariana Grande released her new album Positions on October 30, but before that she blessed us with the music video for the title track where she showcased her best Madame President looks. The video cycled through 11 stunning fits as Ari strutted through the White House, “switching positions” from the kitchen to the Oval Office and radiating powerful female energy.

The looks, which were carefully crafted by celeb stylist Mimi Cuttrell, sparked some true outfit envy for our WFH fashion as she showed off her strong mind for ruling the free world in everything from a sharp Balmain dress to a revealing Dion Lee corset. Each look stuck to a strict black-and-white dress code, save a vibrant orange blazer and skirt combo she wore while presenting women from the United States Postal Service with gold medals. So cute!
Ari has been known to express herself through her hairstyling, and she rocks several twists on her classic high pony throughout the vid. In one shot where she croons from the bedroom in an outfit that looks notably similar to the one she wore on the cover of her sophomore album, My Everything, Grande sticks to her roots. But in later scenes in the Oval Office and a shot in the White House halls, she accessorizes with a white hat and bow to show her presidential prowess.

Combined with a black pillbox hat, the look is an ode to 1960’s style where Jackie O popularized the round cap.
