Ariana Grande Rocks A Plunging Hooded Coperni Dress In New York City
The head-turning dress, which currently retails for $1100, also features a super-daring plunging front and an asymmetric thigh-grazing skirt. The "Thank U, Next" hitmaker finished off the look with some black sheer tights, and some black knee-high boots and leather gloves, both of which hailed from The Row, to combat the Big Apple chill. She finished off with a chic Chanel top handle bag for that final touch of class and sophistication.
The Victorious alum wore her blonde hair in a long, straight ponytail, which allowed her small pearl earrings the chance to be seen. The R.E.M. Beauty mogul's makeup was dewy and flawless, and she rocked the negative space eyeliner trend with some brown eyeliner and pink eyeshadow.
Controversy Over Ethan Slater Relationship
As much as fans will adore this look, we know that they will still be thinking about her controversial relationship with Slater. Some of Ariana's fans (and non-fans) have been quite vocal about their disapproval of her relationship with the 31-year-old Tony-nominated SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical actor, as he was reportedly married to his high school sweetheart Lilly Jay when the dating rumors started. Slater and Jay are also parents to a son, who was born in August 2022.
Ariana's new song "Yes, And?" was perceived as a response to the backlash, with the "Positions" singer urging her fans to focus on their own lives rather than interfering in hers. "Say that [expletive] with your chest, keep moving like, 'What’s next? Yes, and?'" she sings. However, the song was unsurprisingly met with even more criticism on social media. "Ariana Grande really out here praising herself as being a homewrecker in her new song like nooooooo girl," one person wrote on X, as another added: "Can we just cancel #ArianaGrande for being a homewrecker."
Despite the inspiration behind the song and the backlash it received on social media, "Yes, And?" still made it to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts, making it her eighth number one single!
