Is it a genie? Is it a mermaid? Quite honestly, we have no idea how to describe Ariana Grande‘s latest outfit from The Voice. All we know is that we are absolutely obsessed with it! The 28-year-old “7 Rings” singer wore a deep turquoise co-ordinating two piece which consisted of a long sleeved bralette (with sleeves transforming into gloves, no less!) and a matching mini-skirt on the episode which aired on Monday, October 25th, and we haven’t been able to think about anything else since! Are The Voice coaches allowed to show off this much skin? Weren’t the performers distracted? We have so many questions!
We actually got a sneak preview of the super-sexy outfit in question when Ari posted a pic of her ‘fit on Instagram back on August 20th, which is when we assume that particular episode was filmed. So we’ve been waiting patiently (that’s a lie, we’ve been on the edge of our seats waiting desperately for the episode to air!) for over two months. The outfit, as you can imagine, was definitely worth the wait! And we think the 8 million plus IG users who hit that like button agreed!

When sharing a picture of her outfit, Ari wrote: “One month @nbcthevoice ! you just ….. have no idea. i love this show and everyone involved so much. and yes, i will continue saying this repeatedly until september 20th goodbye.” The Thank U, Next singer also shared a picture of herself in her swivel chair four days ago, writing: “the knockouts start tonight @nbcthevoice :) #teamariana.”
Grande has been such a refreshing addition to the hit NBC show – not only in terms of her personality, her energy, and of course her unmistakable voice (how does such a big voice come out of such a petite superstar?) but her sartorial looks are flooring us each and every week. We loved all her previous outfits, but we think her latest bralette and mini skirt combo might just be our new favorite! The mesmerizing color, the embellishments, the attention to detail; we could go on forever!

As well as the almost-too-provocative-for-TV outfit, we also love that Ariana brought back a more toned-down version of her signature ponytail for the occasion. Instead of having a sky-scrapingly-elevated pony, the singer went for a more muted and understated version for the show. It was still slicked back and perfectly sleek and straight, just like her trademark style from the past, but just a little more refined this time around. Signature pony, but the 2021 edition, if you will.
