A new promotional photo for the newest season of NBC’s “The Voice” was just released, and fans are unleashing criticism on the image, claiming that new judge Ariana Grande looks “completely unrecognizable.” The promotional poster for the 21st season of the singing contest also featured judges Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Blake Shelton, but it was Grande that looked heavily edited, with a distorted face that hardly looked like the 28-year-old singer.

Fans were quick to flock to Twitter to share their distaste of the image after the account “Pop Crave” tweeted the poster on August 16. One fan promptly wrote, “Plsss why they look like that? fire the graphic designer expeditiously.” Another shared a zoomed in image of the singer, adding, “they did her so dirty.”
Grande is the newest addition to “The Voice” hosting lineup, announcing that she would be joining the 21st season on Instagram back in March. The singer wrote in her caption, “surprise !!! i am beyond thrilled, honored, excited to be joining @kellyclarkson @johnlegend@blakeshelton next season ~ season 21 of @nbcthevoice ! @nickjonas we will miss you,” as she will be replacing the Jonas brother as judge for the season.

The singer has continued to post updates on her social media, sharing behind the scenes from the first promotional trailer in which she notably does look like herself–unlike the aforementioned poster. On Tuesday, Grande also shared a video revealing that she will be working with Broadway legend Kristin Chenoweth on the show, who will act as her “battle advisor.” Grande gushed, “ i cannot tell you how thankful i am to have shared this with her and to have been able to “teach” with someone i have learned the absolute most from. my heart is in shambles.”
While she has yet to comment on the heavily edited promotional poster, Grande is evidently thrilled about her impending stint on “The Voice” and with undeniably iconic vocals and production skills, will certainly act as a valuable asset to the contestants. “The Voice” will premiere on NBC on September 20 at 8 pm.
