Ariana Grande is continuing to step out in outfits that pay homage to her Wicked character, as she rocked a Glinda-inspired outfit at the Golden Globes First-Time Nominees Luncheon at The Maybourne Beverly Hills on Tuesday, December 17th.
The 31-year-old singer and actress understandably wanted to honor the character and make a statement on the red carpet, following her ‘Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role’ Golden Globe nomination.
Ariana Grande Wears A Stunning Dior Dress To Golden Globes First-Time Nominees Luncheon
The "Boy Is Mine" singer looked so elegant in a vintage Dior champagne-colored satin midi dress, which came complete with a thick waist-cinching belt. The dress came from the Christian Dior Haute Couture A/W 1959 by Yves Saint Laurent collection, and was reportedly sourced from Aralda Vintage. Wow!
Grande accessorized the chic dress with satin pointed-toe pumps in a matching color, and chose to forgo all jewelry, save for some subtle pearl earrings, to let the dress command all of the attention.
She styled her blonde hair in a sleek side-parted ponytail with the ends flicked out, and for makeup, went for her signature winged eyeliner, dramatic fluttery eyelashes, and a dark pink lip.
Ethan Slater's Ex-Wife Writes An Emotional Essay About Their End Of Their Marriage And The Start Of His Relationship With Ariana Grande
Grande's appearance at the luncheon comes after boyfriend Ethan Slater's ex-wife, Lilly Jay, with whom he shares a two-year-old son, penned an emotional essay for The Cut. In the essay that was published on December 18th, the clinical psychologist opened up about how she is handling the Wicked promo, as well as what her new life as a single mother following the end of her six-year marriage is like.
"No-one gets married thinking they'll get divorced, in the same way we don't board a plane expecting to crash," Jay wrote. "I really never thought I would get divorced. Especially not just after giving birth to my first child and especially not in the shadow of my husband's new relationship with a celebrity," she added.
"Days with my son are sunny. Motherhood, I have learned, fills your time but not your mind," she continued, before going on to say that "days when I can't escape the promotion of a movie associated with the saddest days of my life are darker."
She added: "In the countless hours I spend rocking my son to sleep, pushing his stroller, marveling at his sweaty little hands grasping a crayon, I work diligently on my private project of accepting the sudden public downfall of my marriage."
