Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban‘s daughter isn’t the only one being slammed for being a nepo baby at the moment, as it seems like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver‘s 31-year-old son is also going through the same thing!

Although Patrick Schwarzenegger has appeared on the small screen a few times since the early 2000s, he is getting a lot of attention now that he is starring in Season 3 of White Lotus. And quite a lot of it is negative…

Patrick Schwarzenegger Says It's 'Frustrating' That People Think He Got 'White Lotus' Part Because Of Nepotism

The actor spoke of his frustration with the "nepo baby" label – and the assumptions that he got his White Lotus part because of who his parents are – with the Sunday Times.

"I know there are people who'll say I only got this role because of who my dad is," Patrick told the pub, adding: "They're not seeing that I've had 10 years of acting classes…  worked on my characters for hours on end or the hundreds of rejected auditions I've been on."

He went on: "Of course, it's frustrating and you can get boxed in, and you think at that moment, I wish I didn't have my last name."

Internet Reactions

As expected, his comments had mixed reactions on social media. "Must be super tough to be a Schwarzenegger and a Kennedy," quipped one Instagram user. "Nepo babies will never understand their own nepotism," wrote a second, followed by the crying laughing emoji, as a third joked: "Girl bye… I'm so sad your parents are rich and famous and life is so hard."

"Aww poor millionaire," slammed a fourth Instagram user, as a fifth unimpressed user said: "He is a nepo baby… and he's a horrible actor. Someone can't handle reality and that's okay."

"Nepo babies are so ungrateful," added a sixth user, followed by the crying laughing emoji. "If I was a nepo baby, I'd be quiet and take all the roles. We're never gonna feel sorry for you," wrote a seventh.

"Just acknowledge that you had a leg up and are immensely privileged, it doesn't negate your hard work. It just got you in the door. Which is kinda the first big step," wrote another Instagram user.

Someone else thought: "The problem is that there's people out there who don't have famous parents but have talent, work just as hard if not more and they unfortunately get overlooked."

"He could've used a stage name like many people do, but he truly knows it opens doors for him," wrote another user. They added: "I do believe he works on his craft, but he's a nepo baby and that's fine. As long as you actually use it to your advantage to work and not just sit around collecting hand outs, then why not? Our parents work hard to give us the opportunities they didn't have, why shouldn't celeb kids reap the benefits as well."
