Aubrey Plaza Slayed A Slinky, Cut-Out White Stella McCartney Dress
For the Met Gala, Aubrey wore a slinky white gown with large cut-outs embellished with silver chains. The cut-outs were on her neckline (to give it a plunging detail) as well as a sneaky one on her hip. She paired the unique floor-length dress with black leather opera gloves and dazzling diamond accessories by EFFY Jewelry—including a bracelet, bold earrings, and a huge ring.
The Parks and Rec alum added a sparkly Falabella clutch and strappy Jimmy Choo heels as a final touch to the stunning look. The actress styled her glowy brunette hair tied with a black bow in a romantic updo with her curtain bangs perfectly framing her face. As for makeup, she went for a dramatic eyeliner look with an inky black cat eye and a glossy pink lip.
The 2023 Met Gala, officially titled "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty," celebrated the controversial fashion designer who died in February 2019. Aubrey, who was styled by Jessica Paster, wore Lagerfeld's signature black and white color scheme for the star-studded event. The gown, handcrafted and custom-made by Stella McCartney, was inspired "by the life, legendary career, and legacy of Karl Lagerfeld."

Aubrey's eccentric gown caused quite a stir in the comment section. The actress posted a behind-the-scenes reel of her time at the Met Gala to her Instagram. And, the style account @checkthetag posted her outfit as well. "She's the moment," one fan commented, while another quipped, "Putting the Stella in Stellar," on the joint post between the Stella McCartney brand and Aubrey.
"She knows she's mother….like this is such a slay I'm never recovering," a third fan joked, while another wrote, "Delicately and elegantly on point," and another commented, "Truly the people's princess!" Another fan, however, did not think this dress was the best choice for Aubrey, "The dress is pretty but so unflattering." We think Aubrey's edgy gown was perfect for the actress!
