Clever Lipstick & Lip Liner Tips & Hacks For Women Over 50—And Product Recommendations
In her enlightening video, she reveals two quick and easy tricks for women over 50 to achieve a long-lasting lip look. Using lip liner and lipstick, her hacks promise to prevent feathering, smudging, and those pesky fine lines from stealing the spotlight this summer.
At the beginning of her clip, Casey told her followers: “I struggle with my lips. I have lines and wrinkles all around my lips. I’m 62 years old. That is just part of the aging process. But what can I do so that I can wear bright-colored lipsticks?”
The expert continued, noting that she "loves bright colors" and never wants to experience the common effects of "bleeding or the fading." She then detailed her favorite products and how they have proven to be successful on her mature skin.
Casey then noted that her first step for a perfect pout involves using the Sephora Collection Beauty Amplifier Universal Lip Liner (now on sale via Amazon for $9.92) in the clear shade. "When I put this on, it really helps with that issue. I put the clear all the way around the outside of my lips," she said.
Next, Casey went in and applied a Make Up For Ever Artist Color Pencil Longwear Lip Liner ($24 at Sephora) in a nude shade. She went over the lines she previously made with the clear liner to really lock in her next product.
The MUA reached for the BK Beauty Luxe Lipstick- Grace in the shade "empower" (a vibrant orange red available on the brand's site for $16 on sale). "It's pretty, creamy and I do not have to worry about my lipstick fading into those lines and wrinkles," Casey said while applying the lipstick and showing followers how it not only glided on but also stayed on within the lines she drew with the liner.
"This is such an easy and inexpensive tip and trick," Casey said while concluding her video. "You can enjoy wearing bright colors again when you are a mature woman."
