Amid a shopping trip in St. Barts over the weekend, Ben Affleck garnered the attention of fans after he seemed reluctant to take pictures of Jennifer Lopez. New paparazzi-snapped photos of the couple show them browsing the luxurious boutiques of Gustavia on December 30th.
While the Shotgun Wedding actress, 54, tried on jewelry, the Justice League alum, 51, appeared unhappy. In other pics, he displayed tension during a conversation with his wife, who remained composed. Eventually, Affleck pulled out his iPhone and snapped a few pictures of the “On the Floor” singer as she posed.

After the new images emerged on social media, fans on X (formerly Twitter) shared their thoughts. "This guy. He always looks so miserable in her company. It’s hard to watch," one tweeted along with the pics as another concurred: "He's always looking miserable."
Other fans, however, noted that the new shots might not be what they seem. "No one knows if they are fighting or not," one tweeted, adding: "He could have been speaking about something totally unrelated to their relationship."
Some even joked that Affleck's expressions must have been because there "wasn't a Dunkin' Donuts" location nearby.
However, many still stressed that Affleck seemed upset about something when speaking with Lopez that day (and this isn't the first time that he's gone viral for this). "He always seems unhappy with Jennifer," one tweeted as someone else replied: "the guy looks stressed all the time."
Regardless, the duo's intense conversation soon ended, as they were spotted embracing each other lovingly and going in for a deep kiss. Later, Affleck seemed to have lifted his spirits, as Page Six reports, seen holding a possible Coca-Cola.
Despite speculation from fans that Bennifer may be on the rocks, they did ring in 2024 together, sharing an intimate moment captured on Lopez's Instagram Story for her 253 million followers. In the upload, the Oscar winner could be seen sporting a crisp, dapper white blazer while wrapping his arm around the Hustlers alum's waist.
Lopez reciprocated the embrace with her arm around his shoulder. Affleck and Lopez watched a riveting fireworks display seen from their window while the "If You Had My Love" singer shimmered in a stunning sequin dress. This new year is significant for the couple, as they will celebrate their 2-year wedding anniversary in July. Their relationship has been an on-and-off one, as they were previously engaged in both 2003 and 2004 before famously reigniting their romance in 2021.
