Jennifer Lopez's Addresses Ben Affleck's Facial Expressions On Golden Globes Red Carpet
Jennifer Lopez looked incredible for the 2024 Golden Globes, which she attended with Ben, who was nominated for Best Picture for his movie Air. Though he didn't win, who needs a Golden Globe when you have Jennifer Lopez? The singer was dressed in a gorgeous, skintight pink gown from Nicole + Felicia. The dress was designed in the mermaid style and had large, flower sleeves. She paired the dress with Christian Louboutin heels and a Judith Leiber clutch, plus matching pink glam.
While on the red carpet, Lopez was questioned about why her husband is often photographed by paparazzi looking downcast (or angry, or miserable, as fans have described his expressions). Last year, at the Grammys, a clip of Ben and Jen went viral after expert lip readers revealed JLo saying to her husband, "You better not f***ing leave," complete with some unhappy facial expressions from Ben and a playful slap on the chest from JLo.
But, Jennifer insists they're all good. "Ben is doing alright. You don't need to worry about Ben, let me just tell you," she answered. "He is good. He is happy. He is here—he's nominated."
"He's like, 'I'm chilling. I don't understand what people are so pressed for," she continued.
Ben & Jen 'Butt Heads' Over Privacy
This interview comes after reports from insiders saying that Ben "hates the paps always following him and Jen."
"It is just one part of his day that he dreads," the insider continued, "and often times it seeps into his everyday life and it ends up looking like he is upset with the people he is with or his surroundings, when it is actually just some photographers that are just jerks."
"Ben doesn't like red-carpet photos or being snapped by photographers when they are out doing regular life," the source says. Perhaps that's why there's no photos of the two of them together at the Golden Globes...
"He knows Jen loves it," the insider said. "So it does put them at odds at times, but they eventually fall back to a place with each other to be happy."
