It’s officially official – Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are an item again. After breaking up 17 years ago, then each moving on to start their own families, the couple has reunited.

Fans have been speculating whether Lopez and Affleck were back together for several weeks, and now a source has revealed to Us Weekly that the two are  *officially* in a relationship.

According to the source, “Jen and Ben are both very happy with each [other] and are excited to see where the relationship goes. They are full-on dating and very happy together.”

Though the couple had been spotted in public together quite frequently since early May, neither has yet spoken about their relationship. This is the first time a source has confirmed the two are in a relationship.

It was first speculated that Lopez, 51, and Affleck, 48, had rekindled their relationship when they took a romantic getaway to Montana together. This trip came shortly after Lopez called off her engagement to baseball player Alex Rodriguez.

Fans were happily surprised to see Lopez and Affleck back together, particularly since Affleck had also recently gotten out of a relationship. He broke up with actress Ana de Armas earlier this year.

Lopez and Affleck had been keeping quiet about their new relationship until now. A source had reported that the pair wanted to be ready before going public with their status.

“Right now they’re going with the flow and making plans to meet up as often as possible, but there’s still some discussing to do before they officially go public,” the source told OK! Magazine.

The couple were first together from 2001 to 2004. They met while filming romantic comedy Gigli and began dating shortly after.

Lopez and Affleck got engaged in 2002 and started planning their wedding, which was first postponed in 2003 and ultimately called off in 2004. Since breaking up, the celebs each went on to get married, have kids and divorce their first spouses.
