Ben Affleck Moves His Belongings Out Of Their Shared Home
While it's not news that they aren't living together—Ben has been living in a rental home in Brentwood for two months now, while JLo remains at their Beverly Hills mansion—it is news that Affleck has reportedly "moved all of his things out before Lopez returned from a recent trip to Europe." This source, who spoke to People is apparently close to the couple, and had some reports on Ben's status as well.
"Ben continues to live at the Brentwood rental," the source explained. "He’s been there for about two months now. He seems okay. He’s been at his office every day and seems focused on work. He’s also spending time with his kids." But not, notably, his wife. The pair weren't seen together once for over a month earlier this year, which is odd for a couple, even odder for a Hollywood power couple, and outright strange for JLo, who is known to love the attention from paparazzi.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck got married in July of 2022. By spring 2023, they bought a house together, and what a house it is. They paid a crisp $61M for the 38,000 square foot mansion, which boasts a whopping "12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, a 12-car garage and a pool, plus a sports complex with basketball and pickleball facilities, a gym and a boxing ring," according to the Wall Street Journal.
What's not to love, right? Well, there must be something, because according to a source speaking to People, they are selling the Beverly Hills estate. We're finding it hard to believe there could be something wrong with the house (although JLo has been known to make some pretty egregious demands), which leads us to believe that the rumors must be true: JLo & Ben Affleck's marriage is not headed in a good direction.
Ben & Jen's Marriage Woes
Of course, not vacationing together, not living together, and selling their shared home after just one year of marriage doesn't ensure divorce, but coupled with reports close to the couple of "strain" in their marriage, it seems almost certain. "Ben and Jen don't want to get divorced," one source said. "They are saying they won't, but their relationship is simply not working at this point. They aren't done yet and want to fix things because they love each other, but they are also both unhappy."
Another source told People in May that their marriage "is not in the best place at the moment," and neither of them appear to be doing anything to curb the rumors, as Affleck just recently stepped out without his wedding ring, and Lopez is gallivanting around Europe solo.
