Footage of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez has gone viral once again, with fans questioning if there’s tension between the two—”You can ‘have it all’ and still be miserable,” said one Twitter user.
In a paparazzi video from May 9th, Ben is seen opening the car door for wife Jennifer after a coffee run in Los Angeles. As soon as the singer is seated, however, Ben appears to fling the door shut behind her.

This is one of the recent tense public interactions between the two: the pair also appeared to have an argument while at the red carpet premiere for Jennifer’s new movie, The Mother.
Fans Comment: 'They Definitely Fighting Lol'
Fans on Twitter were divided on their readings of the strained moment, with some interpreting it as discord between the recently-married couple, and others certain that Ben was actually reacting to the paparazzi, not Jennifer.

"Dude, he’s pissed off He’s being filmed. Again," countered a different commenter. Others agreed: "I think they saw the cameraman when walking toward the car," said one responder. "Jen kept her head down, and Ben is naturally irritated, as he motions to the cameraman at the end. Not a minute of privacy when you’re famous, should be the headline," said another Tweet.
Trouble In 'Bennifer' Paradise?
On May 10th, just a day after the paparazzi video was taken, the Argo director seemed to have yet another tense moment with his wife, this time on the red carpet for the "On the Floor" singer's new movie, The Mother.
When first arriving at the premiere Ben, 50, appeared to be exchanging some serious words with Jennifer, 53—and the possible argument was even caught on camera, with Ben frowning and holding up his finger at his wife.
However, once the couple made it down the red carpet, moods seemed to defrost and the pair shared laughs and kisses for the cameras.
A similar moment at the 2023 Grammys went viral in February, with fans at the time commenting that the Oscar winner looked "miserable" at the event. One Twitter user joked, "Ben Affleck at the Grammys is a sobering reminder that no matter how rich and famous you are, your lady is still going to drag you to s–t you don’t want to go to."

A lip reader told Page Six that Jennifer appeared to have told Ben "Stop, look more friendly. Look motivated," in footage captured of the two during the ceremony, to which Ben allegedly responded, "I might."
This didn't deter the Hustlers actress from having fun at the Grammys, however: "Always the best time with my love, my husband," wrote Jennifer in an Instagram caption.
