Using products with SPF, whether that be makeup or regular sunscreen, saves your skin from a variety of sun-related problems. The sun, as glorious as it is, emits harmful UV rays that damage your skin. Spending time in the sunshine without SPF sunscreen protection on, no matter if you’re just going for a light stroll or spending the day at the beach, can severely harm your complexion. SHEfinds spoke with three dermatologists across the country to get their favorite anti-aging sunscreen recommendations and these are the products that they love.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen Broad Spectrum Spf 100 ($8.97)
Dr. Janet Prystowksy, one of NYC’s top dermatologists, said, “The best anti-aging product is sunscreen itself. It’s always better to prevent sun damage and the photoaging that comes with it than to try and fix it later. To that end, I always recommend people use a sunscreen that they like and are likely to use every time they go out in the sun. I prefer broad spectrum, mineral-based sunscreens with SPF 50+ because they provide the most protection. However, as long as your SPF is 30 or more, it’s all about being diligent and reapplying every 2 hours.
Many traditional anti-aging ingredients can sensitize you to sunrays, so I don’t recommend combo products. You’re more likely to do more harm than good. Stick to a traditional sunscreen and be diligent! It truly is the best anti-aging product out there."
She continued, "For a specific sunscreen recommendation, I like Neutrogena’s UltraSheer SPF 100. Elta MD also makes a good sunscreen. A popular one at my office is their UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46."
