When it comes to shopping at Costco, the thrill of finding a great deal on high-quality items is unmatched. Among the warehouse’s extensive selection, there are a few brand-name products that shoppers consistently rave about for their unbeatable value and quality. From pantry staples to household essentials, these items are more than just a good buy—they’re practically too good to pass up.

Pulling from Samantha Lande’s comprehensive list of must-buy name-brand items at Costco in Eat This, Not That, we’ve narrowed it down to 11 fan favorites that are always worth adding to your cart. Here are a few of the best buys at Costco that, according to Lande, are “too good to pass up.”

The 100+ Best New Beauty Launches Of 2024
hebrew national hot dogs

1. Hebrew National Hot Dogs

Summer may be on its way out, but it's never a bad time to enjoy a hot dog! If you keep hot dogs stored in your fridge for easy dinners and impromptu cookouts, it's a good idea to buy these delicious Hebrew National dogs at Costco. Lande points out that although typical grocery stores offer 12-ounce packages for $5-$7, you can buy four of those packs for just $11.99 at your local Costco. That's a deal you shouldn't pass up!

kraft mac and cheese

2. Kraft Mac & Cheese

Need some macaroni and cheese with those dogs? You can't go wrong with Kraft. And for those who go through a lot of macaroni and cheese (guilty as charged), buying in bulk from Costco is never a bad idea—especially considering that 18 boxes will cost you under $15, bringing the price-per-box to 83 cents. How could you resist that?

nutella

3. Nutella

When you're craving something sweet, there's nothing quite like Nutella. Whether you're spreading it on toast, baking it into desserts, or simply eating it by the spoon (we won't judge!), this hazelnut spread is hard to resist. That's why a jar doesn't last very long in my pantry—so stocking up at Costco is a must. The warehouse sells Nutella for around 20 cents an ounce, saving you about 10 cents per ounce compared to other grocery stores. Not bad at all!

rao's marinara sauce

4. Rao's Marinara Sauce

Pasta night? If you don't have the time to cook up a homemade sauce but still want something delicious, Rao's is just about the best of the best. And Costco offers the best deal around on this iconic product: you can add two 28-ounce jars to your cart for $12, while a 24-ounce jar will cost you $7 at other stores.

duracell batteries

5. Duracell Batteries

While we may not think about them all the time, we all need batteries. There's nothing quite as frustrating as searching around the house for a fresh pair, so it's always good to have a supply on hand. However, they're not the cheapest around, so saving yourself some money by buying them at Costco is a good way to go. Although you'll typically find Duracell batteries for around 60 cents each, Costco shoppers can pick them up for about 45 cents each.

ziploc variety pack

6. Ziploc Variety Pack

Whether you're packing school lunches or getting your airport liquids together, it's always good to have Ziploc bags on hand. They always disappear faster than I expect them to in my home, so ensuring a steady supply by purchasing a Variety Pack from Costco is a must. It'll also save you some money; Lande notes that you'll save around 3 cents per bag this way.

tide with downy liquid detergent

7. Tide with Downy Liquid Detergent

Whether we like it or not, we all have to do laundry, which means that we all need laundry detergent. There are a lot of options out there, but Tide is a great, reliable option that will keep your clothes smelling fresh—especially when Downy is added in there. Luckily, you can also save a few bucks when you shop at Costco. While a jug at Target costs around $23, Costco carries this brand for $20.

daves killer bread

8. Dave's Killer Bread

If you know, you know—Dave's Killer Bread is where it's at when it comes to both taste and nutrition. So put that processed white bread down and add this protein-packed, tasty option to your cart! You'll save a ton of money if you make sure to save this purchase for Costco, too, where you'll find two loaves for just $8.69. That's only about a dollar more than a single loaf at other stores!

kerrygold butter

9. Kerrygold Irish Butter

There's a lot of hype around this Irish butter, and for good reason. This stuff is delicious and super high-quality. However, at $9 per pound, it's not the cheapest butter around. Luckily, Costco has you covered with some savings. Two-pound boxes are just $14 at the warehouse. Score!

cheerios

10. Cheerios

Cereal may not be the healthiest breakfast around, but there's no denying that it's delicious and easy. Cheerios are a beloved option, but name brands like this one don't come cheap. Unless, of course, you shop at Costco, where two 20.35-ounce bags are under $6.89—that's cheaper than a single bag in some stores!

king arthur flour

11. King Arthur All-Purpose Flour

Flour is a pantry staple, so it's always good to know where you can find the best prices on the best quality options. King Arthur is, well, basically the king of flour, which is why it's so great that you can find it in bulk at Costco. You can add a 12-pound bag to your cart for under $10, compared to other stores, which sell this flour for around $1/pound. Not bad!
