Hands Down, These Are The Best Bras For Women With Uneven Boobs

August 8, 2017 by Jennifer Hussein

Every woman knows that not all boobs are created equally. Not everyone is blessed with symmetrical breasts, and bra shopping when one boob seems to be bigger than the other can be discomforting and frustrating. Well, that is until now, because Kimmay Caldwell, bra fitting expert of Hurray Kimmay is here to help!

The first thing Caldwell recommends to do is to identify your fuller breast and fitting your bras to its size. "That way you can fit to the larger side and have a little extra room on the smaller side, rather than fit to the smaller side and come spilling out of the larger side," she says.

"If there's only a slight difference in size or shape, you can wear a bra with a full coverage, stretch material for the cup - like microfiber, mesh, or even a stretch lace - which will adjust to the size of each breast," Caldwell recommends. "No need to add in anything extra. Simply adjust the bra strap on the smaller side a touch tighter so the cup material lays flush with your bust."

Caldwell suggests checking out Warner’s Invisible Bliss® Wire-Free bra if your breasts are only slightly asymmetrical.

"If there's a noticeable difference in size, or you'd like to even out cleavage, try a bra with a firm, molded cup," she suggests. "That way you can slip an insert into the smaller side without seeing any lumps or bumps. The firm molding will keep your bust looking smooth."

"If there is a very significant difference in size, or you've had a lumpectomy or mastectomy, a bra with a pocket is an awesome option! Similar to a bra with built-in removable pads, you can simply use the pocket to keep a prothesis or other insert in place."

For this situation, Caldwell recommends the Warner's Cloud 9 Underwire Contour with Lace Back.

"

If you can' find a regular bra that fits you right, a bra insert can do just the trick! "There are MANY inserts available," says Caldwell. "They come in several sizes and shape and can be made from silicone, fabric, or even water and oil. Choose the size and shape that works best for your breast!"

She also advises to checking out bras with removable push-up pads to give your smaller breast an extra lift. "Bras with built-in removable push up pads are great for uneven breasts! I suggest taking the pads out and fitting the bra to your fuller breast, then inserting the pad into the smaller breast side."
