According to Best, not only is this fruit one of the tastiest options out there—it's also one of the healthiest, especially if you're working towards a slimmer waistline. This is largely thanks to their low calorie count combined with all the nutrients they offer up.

"Strawberries are an excellent choice for a weight loss breakfast because they are low in caloric density and high in fiber," she says. "With only about 50 calories per cup, they provide a satisfying sweetness without excessive calories." This is a major plus, because sweet processed breakfast foods are some of the worst foods for your health. Switching up your routine by choosing fruit instead can do wonders.

So, what can all that fiber do for your waistline, anyway? Best breaks it down for us: "The high fiber content aids digestion, promotes a feeling of fullness, and helps control appetite throughout the morning, reducing the likelihood of overeating," she explains.

Additionally, she points out, "Strawberries are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, which support overall health and metabolism." Perfect!
