If you’ve tried Lidstar, Glossier’s new line of cream eyeshadows, you understand why beauty-obsessed women everywhere practically lost their minds over the product. The sparkly cream eyeshadows were first debuted on Beyoncé for the 2018 Oscars (good move) and it was all over after that–everyone HAD to have it.

Now that Lidstar has been on the market for about three months, it’s safe to say the product was a complete success. No surprise there, considering Glossier hits a home run every time it releases a new product. Seriously, everything the brand touches turns to gold.

Lidstar is sold in single, individual tubes of glowing, lightly pigmented color. The product is great for building an elegant, sparkly eye makeup look with just a few dabs of the dab doe foot applicator. Glossier’s tagline for Lidstar is “Less shadow, more glow.” The cream shadow applies smooth and buttery and makes eyes light up with a soft touch of glistening, iridescent color.

The secret to Glossier’s success with this Lidstar cream eyeshadow is their amazing formula. The cream shadow is light and long-lasting–it doesn’t crease after a few hours of wear, bless! Each shade is also super pigmented but soft enough to give you the perfect glow. For nights out, this is the only shadow you’ll need. After applying it with the stick applicator, your eyelids glow with a beautiful illumination.

The Glossier Lidstar shades are:

—Moon, the sheerest cream base with a blueish opalescent glimmer—Slip, a sheer baby pink with a golden highlight effect—Lily, a sheer lilac base with blue and violet pearls—Cub, a rose gold with warm shimmer effect—Herb, a smoky green with yellow gold pearl—Fawn, a cool smokey taupe with violet and neutral gold pearls

The shine lasts all day long (I can personally vouch for that statement), so what’s not to love? Well… it is priced at $18 per tube. Not exactly the most affordable eyeshadow option on the market.

If you’re dying to shine bright with Lidstar but can’t justify spending $18 on a single tube of shadow, we have you covered.

L'Oreal® Paris Infallible 24HR Eye Shadow in Always Pearly Pink ($6.99)

Promising review: "I never right reviews but I'm fascinated by the quality of these eyeshadows that I have to write something about them. I have lots of high end eyeshadows like mac, urban decay & lorac but Whenever I wanna go out and do my makeup i find myself grabbing these eyeshadows and use them everyday whether for a day or night makeup look. They have velvety texture. They are highly pigmented and easily to blend. The colors are vibrant and rich in color. I have all the colors now and I can't say enough good things about them."

Revlon ColorStay Crème Eyeshadow in Expresso ($8.49)

This Revlon sparkly cream eyeshadow promises long-wear color that can be built up to your desired pigment. It wears up to 24 hours.

Revlon ColorStay Crème Eyeshadow in Carmel ($8.49)

Promising review: "I've only been using this for a couple of weeks, but the color has stayed on all day (applying at 6:30am and removing at 10pm) with no creases. I have oily skin, which also applies to my eyelids. Normally any cream based shadow creases, but this has not. Disclosure - I do use an eye primer, that might be helping. And I'm in my 40s."
