Avocado toast lovers rejoice! Gervacio says that this tasty green fruit is fantastic for weight loss. Not only does avocado taste great in a range of meals (like tasty, weight loss-friendly salads), but it's also one of the best healthy fats around, offering numerous health benefits.

"Avocados are rich in monounsaturated fat which offers a lot of cardiovascular and digestive benefits while losing weight," Gervacio says. She points out that "It is rich in vitamins E, C, and A to act as antioxidants to keep the body healthy."

Vitamin C, in particular can be a great weapon in your weight loss journey (not to mention your skin health). "The vitamin C content of avocados can fight off free radicals that can slow down the metabolic rate," she points out. Amazing!

Richards agrees, calling this food "an excellent source of heart-healthy monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, which can help lower bad cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease."

Then there's the fiber content, which can play a significant role in weight loss by improving digestion and keeping you fuller longer.
