1. Riced Cauliflower

This is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a low-calorie carbohydrate alternative, especially if they’re not fond of traditional rice. They also come in plain or garlic flavor.

“It makes cooking super easy. Just add salt, pepper, spices, tamari, or coconut aminos,” he suggests.

berries

2. Organic berries

While ALDI offers fresh organic berries, they tend to lose their freshness relatively quickly. For this reason, Fitzgerald suggests opting for the frozen berry options instead.

“I normally recommend organic because they are on the dirty dozen,” Fitzgerald adds.

frozen veggies

3. Frozen veggies

While you can certainly purchase fresh greens, ALDI’s frozen section “also has a good assortment of frozen vegetables,” Fitzgerald says. These “frozen vegetables are just as good as fresh, and sometimes they even have more nutrients.”

However, he recommends checking the label on the back to make sure the only ingredient is the actual vegetable because you don’t want any preservatives or artificial additives.
