When it comes to getting rid of wrinkles, everyone’s looking for a quick and easy fix. There are a lot of products and treatments that promise fast and visible results, but dermatologist says that the real answer to youthful, wrinkle-free skin lies in how you use your skincare products. In fact, they have many tricks for younger-looking skin, but the best one is actually double cleansing!

Best Tricks For Younger-Looking Skin

This easy skincare trick doesn’t require much time or effort and comes recommended by dermatologists like Dr. Whitney Bowe, a dermatologist in New York City, who says that it’s one of the best and easiest ways to prevent wrinkles. All you need to do is wash your face with two different products: an oil-based cleanser followed by a water-based one. “Double-cleansing can preserve collagen,” Bowe tells Allure.

Using an oil-based cleanser helps to easily dissolve makeup without harsh rubbing, like if you were to use a makeup wipe. Bowe says that this popular makeup removal method is harsh on the skin and “can age your skin.”

Another helpful trick for younger-looking skin is to use a toner to remove your makeup. A good toner can act as a detox for your skin by removing any pore-clogging makeup, oil, and dirt while also delivering some hydration, too! “I really love my Epionce Purifying Toner with willow-bark extract,” Marie Jhin, a dermatologist in San Francisco, says of her favorite anti-aging skincare product. “[It] has ingredients [like glycerin] that add hydration.”

And of course, the best skincare hack for younger-looking skin is to ALWAYS WEAR SUNSCREEN! “Sunscreen is by far the absolute most important step in treating skin aging,” Joshua Zeichner, M.D. explains to SELF. “Preventing damage is far more effective than attempting to repair it.” If it’s hard to remember to apply sunscreen in the morning, Zeichner recommends using a moisturizer with broad-spectrum SPF protection to get the job done.

Here are the products that dermatologists always use in their anti-aging skincare routine:
