Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s 12-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter attended the global premiere for Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood on Monday, December 9th.

The red carpet appearance, which was also attended by her proud mom and dad, took place just one day after the “Empire State of Mind” hitmaker was accused in a lawsuit of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.

However, that wasn’t the only negative thing that got people talking on social media, as many people thought Blue Ivy’s red carpet look was extremely inappropriate for her age.

Blue Ivy’s ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ Premiere Look Deemed ‘Inappropriate’ By Social Media Users

Blue Ivy has already made her on-stage debut by previously joining her mom on tour; and her appearance in the movie, which sees her provide the voice of the character of Kiara, now marks her feature film debut.

She understandably wanted to stand out on the red carpet to mark such a huge achievement; however, many people on social media didn’t think that her strapless gold dress with a long flowing train was the best or most appropriate outfit choice.

“She’s 12 why [is] she dressed like a 17 year old?” asked one fan on an E! News Instagram video from the red carpet. “She’s 12 and it’s for a kids movie not a OnlyFans show,” slammed a second. “She’s 12 and dressed like that. Ridiculous parenting,” criticized a third, as a fourth concurred: “She’s literally only 12 years old.” “13 dressed like 30,” echoed another, as another IG user said: “The dress is a bit too much. It’s wearing her and not she wearing the dress.”

"This is a 12 year old?" asked another fan in agreement, as another replied: "My thoughts exactly." "Seriously let her be a child," begged another fan. "The child is 12! She has no childhood and is put in a sexy outfit and presented. Dress, makeup, nails...everything too soon and way too much. Why not let her be a child?" questioned another. Yet another social media user deemed the look "inappropriate," as another concurred: "That dress is not appropriate, looks trashy."

"Why is she looking like 18 or something? Isn't she a baby?" someone else asked, as a few others addressed her body language, with one saying, "Bless her, she looks so uncomfortable," and another adding, "She looks anxiety ridden and uncomfortable."

Other fans turned their attention to the "nepotism," with one critic saying: "The parents are pushing her to us to make her happen… but it won't happen society is tired of the celebrities and Nepo babies that are famous because of their parents." "I'm sure she got that role all on her own," wrote another fan, followed by the eye rolling emoji, as another noted: "Nepotism at its best."

Many Other Fans Defend Blue Ivy's 'Beautiful' Premiere Look

Not every comment was negative though, as many of the Grammy-winning singer's fans thought that Blue Ivy looked "gorgeous," while also defending her outfit choice.

"It's a ballgown. Ballgowns don't need an age. Stop finding an excuse to say something negative," wrote one fan in her defense. "She is absolutely gorgeous! She seems really sweet and grounded too," commented a second, followed by the red heart emoji.

"Wow she looks so stunning," complimented a third. "Blue Ivy looks so gorgeous," gushed a fourth, followed by three red heart emojis. "Bey raised a true princess, and yall give it a rest. Let Blue have her night," demanded a fifth.

"She looks absolutely stunning just like her mama," praised another fan, followed by the star eyes and hand clapping emojis. "She's beautiful. She's not responsible for her parents' actions. Be kind," noted another fan, followed by the red heart emoji.
