Beyoncé Gets Grammy Nod After CMA Snub

For all the Beyoncé fans that were furious when the singer didn't receive any nominations for the Country Music Awards despite dropping Cowboy Carter earlier this year, you're in luck. The mother-of-three received 11 Grammy nominations, including Best Country Solo Performance for "16 Carriages," Best Country Duo/Group Song for "Texas Hold 'Em," and Best Country Album for Cowboy Carter.

It's a bit surprising that Beyoncé didn't receive any CMA Award nominations, despite her song "Texas Hold 'Em" reaching No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart, but many country music singers defended the Country Music Association, including Luke Bryan. The country artists said in an interview, "Just because she made one.. just 'cause I make one, I don't get nominations. Everybody loved that Beyoncé made a country album. Nobody’s mad about it. But where things get a little tricky — if you’re gonna make country albums, come into our world and be country with us a little bit."

The Internet Reacts To Beyoncé's Grammy Nomination

Many of Beyoncé's loyal fans were furious when she didn't receive any CMA Award nominations and are rejoicing now, but for those that aren't part of the Beyhive, they're not as excited. "This is what throwing a temper tantrum gets you," one person posted on X.

"Texas Hold 'Em is a terrible song and Beyoncé does not deserve 11 Grammy nominations for her 'country' album," another wrote.

"She's not country and real country musicians know it," a third added.

"Beyoncé thinking she deserves nominations for her 'country' album just because she made one shows just how entitled she is," a final person posted. "I'm over the hype."
