Beyoncé just told British Vogue that she plans to slow down in her career. Say it ain’t so!
The hitmaker revealed to the magazine for their December issue, on newsstands November 6th, that the events of 2020 have changed her.
The singer told the pub that her “new goal is to slow down,” amid the novel coronavirus outbreak. We are so surprised!

Known for being a notoriously hard worker (she inspired the “You Have The Same Amount Of Hours In A Day As Beyonce” meme, afterall), this comes as a bit of a shock. But she certainly isn’t the only person to change their way of life after COVID-19.
In three separate covers shot by 21-year-old Kennedi Carter (the youngest photographer to shoot ever a cover for mag), the 39-year-old is seen wearing a structured blazer with shoulder pads, an Ivy Park bodysuit and matching bucket hat, and a see-through mesh catsuit.

Inside the article, Yoncé revealed to editor-in-chief Edward Enninful that, “It would be difficult to experience life in a pandemic and the current social unrest and not be changed,” continuing, “I have learnt that my voice is clearer when I am still. I truly cherish this time with my family, and my new goal is to slow down and shed stressful things from my life.” Wow!
The “Formation” singer revealed that while she has spent the last decade “focusing on building my legacy and representing my culture the best way I know how,” she has now given herself the choice to slow down. “I’ve decided to give myself permission to focus on my joy.”

Speaking on the influence of motherhood on her decision making, the powerhouse revealed: “Something cracked open inside of me right after giving birth to my first daughter. From that point on, I truly understood my power, and motherhood has been my biggest inspiration. It became my mission to make sure she lived in a world where she feels truly seen and valued. I was also deeply inspired by my trip to South Africa with my family.”
While we are inspired by this breakthrough–and couldn’t agree more!–we can’t help but selfishly think about all the surprise digital drops we might miss out on in the future.
