A source recently revealed that the couple is even thinking about getting hitched “at the end of the year.”

The insider told HollywoodLife that a 2020 wedding might be in the cards for Blake and Gwen.

The source explained,  "Blake and Gwen are thinking about doing a couple things, both intimate and a big party with friends down the line after COVID is done with for their wedding plans."

"They want family and friends to be involved in their big day, but there is obviously details changing day in and day out. They are busy working right up until Christmas but they have thought of possibly doing something at the end of the year with themselves and close family," the friend of the couple added.

Another source gave a little more detailed guess of what their wedding plans might entail.

The insider explained, "“Blake is being pretty tight-lipped about sharing any wedding details at this point because he doesn’t want to ruin any surprises. Blake and Gwen have always played by their own rules, so their friends wouldn’t be surprised if they got married by the end of this year."

According to this friend, coronavirus is definitely a concern for the couple, who might opt for a smaller celebration asap rather than waiting until it's safe to have a larger party. The source added, "Especially with everything going on with COVID, they could possibly tie the knot in the chapel on their ranch where Blake proposed to Gwen, surrounded by just their loved ones."

The couple has no real reason to wait.

According to the source, Blake was "more than ready to get married" when he proposed, so waiting any longer might not make sense.

Plus, they do not want a big wedding anyway, so COVID precautions might not play a factor in their wedding timeline.

A source explained to PEOPLE: "Neither wants a big wedding."

The article adds that the "ceremony will likely center around a small circle of friends and family and will ideally happen sooner rather than later."
